Demagogues or Be Afraid of What I Say but Fear What He Says

Michael Moore in Fahrenheit 9/11 seems to show the "fear mongering" of the Republican administration using the terror alert system and his view of the "free and independent" press. Why does the left claim that the Conservative element of American politics is living off of the fear of Americans when all I ever hear out of their mouth is how bad off we are. From the war in Iraq to terrorism Democrats have not stopped screaming about the Republican demagogues and how they are keeping America in line using fear, what are they doing.

Since Reagan was President the left has used the fear mongering ploy to make the right appear as exploiters of the people. I have always seen the conservative political element of America as ever positive to the possibilities of the everyday American. You can do it, you don't need Washington to administer your parenting, personal defense, education, or self-discipline. You, American nobody, is what makes America great. The left-leaning and their ilk have always had little faith in the American voter except for the ability to vote themselves another entitlement or program.

Why do we still allow politicians to spoon-feed us as they see fit. We are supposed to believe that one is needlessly filling your heart with fear but the other one is just telling you the truth. I am moral and looking out for you but he is a heartless bastard who wants to control you and your life. I have been getting tired of the politicos filling our ears with crap but worse are the people who allow themselves to have their ears filled, and willingly. The optimistic view of Reagan may just die off if we continue to buy cheap whiskey as cure-alls and believe that our guy is telling it like it is while the other one is just scaring us.

I couldn't agree more. Democrats like to forget that our fighting men and veterans overwhelmingly support the President. If anyone would have an informed opinion of his foreign policy, those folks would be the ones to have it. They are after all the "big stick", that lends the clout to our foreign policy.

I try hard to sound intelligent in my blog, but you tend to say these things so well. Bravo Zulu.

First, Welcome Home!!! I was at two homecomings at Fort Lewis on Monday and must say it was truly an amazing experience. You all fill me with enormous pride and I felt so honored to be in the presence of greatness!!

I just read through a number of your articles and must say that I agree with everything you discuss in your writing. You also helped me to reaffirm my beliefs on who is the better choice to run this nation. Actually, I was pretty sure who I would get my voting for quite a while but was waiting for the words or impression that would finalize my decision. I needed the confirmation from the soldiers who have served in Iraq, that they are receiving the support they need from the administration and believe we are going in the right direction. One of my nephews was with you in Mosul (I think in the same platoon), and another nephew returned in March with the 555th. It truly amazes me that someone can live in that country under the conditions you have all endured and still come out with such a positive attitude about our purpose. So the voice of the soldier who has been there carries a lot of weight with me.

Thank you so much for your service to our country. I will be eternally grateful for the sacrifices you have all made. And, enjoy your time home with family and friends.
